Working on 30 sec Video Commercial and Debate arguments

Criteria for Commercial

  • 30-60 sec in length
  • well thought through/themed
  • check in with teacher as the commercial progresses
  • showcases product well
  • includes music or voice
  • has a logo, slogan or jingle that is incorporated into the ad
  • filming is not bouncy and is well framed
  • the commercial is edited and shots are short
  • leave 3-5 sec at the end of the commercial
  • MAKE SURE YOU HAND IN YOUR SCRIPT/STORYBOARD
  • DUE Fri DEC 20 in class presentation

Each student will hand in a written response for their side with at least 3 arguments and examples on the day of the debate. Due Tues Dec 16

POINT/PROOF

The debate will run as follows:

  • Team leader from each side will introduce the main arguments
  • top 3 team members will present their arguments
  • Back and forth arguments/rebuttals from various group members
  • (Have your points organized)
  • Speaker from each side to make final concluding statements
